Ultimate Stargazing LLC (operating as mav.earth) · Effective October 30, 2026

These terms cover booking and taking part in a MAV session with Ultimate Stargazing LLC ("we," "us"). By booking, you agree to them for yourself and anyone in your booking.

Sessions and Pricing

A stargazing session is private, for two guests. The session length is shown when you book. Please arrive 15 minutes early; check-in and orientation happen before your time at the eyepieces.
The standard price is $249 per person. During our pilot season, sessions are 50% off: $124.50 per person. Pilot sessions are held at a private backyard site in Kula, Maui. The exact location is sent with your confirmation.
Prices include all taxes and fees unless stated otherwise at checkout.

Cancellations and Changes

48 hours or more before your session: cancel for a full refund, or reschedule at no charge.
Less than 48 hours before your scheduled start time: no refunds for cancellations or changes. We'll still move you to another available date, but rescheduling doesn't make the booking refundable again.
If we cancel (weather, safety, or anything on our end), you choose another date or a full refund.
Late arrival and no-shows: if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your start time, or don't arrive, the session is forfeited and not refunded.

Weather

The MAV needs clear skies. We watch the forecast and will contact you before your session if conditions won't cooperate. You can move to another clear night, or, if no new date works for you, receive a full refund. If the weather turns during a session, we'll do our best to finish it and will offer a reschedule if a substantial part is lost.

Who Can Take Part

Riders must be at least 48 inches tall and no taller than 7 feet, with a maximum weight of 350 lb per seat.
Guests ages 8 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who signs the waiver on their behalf.
Every guest signs our waiver before riding. You can't take part without a signed waiver.
For everyone's safety, we may refuse or end a session if a guest's condition or behavior creates a safety concern, or if a guest doesn't follow operator instructions. Refunds in that case are at our discretion.

Photos

Phone photography through the eyepieces isn't allowed. We sometimes photograph or film sessions; our waiver explains this and lets you opt out.

Text Messages

If you opt in on our website or ask us to text you, Ultimate Stargazing will send text messages about your inquiry and bookings, such as confirmations, reminders, weather updates, and replies to your questions.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can opt back in by replying START or contacting us.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Risk and Responsibility

Stargazing on the MAV involves some inherent risks, which are described in the waiver you sign before your session. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can't be limited under Hawaii law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its effective date, applies to bookings made after that date.
